Planar passivated four quadrant Triac in a SOT78 (TO-220AB) plastic package intended for use in applications requiring high bidirectional transient and blocking voltage capability and high thermal cycling performance. TRIAC BT139 also comes under the TRIAC family, it has a current rate of 9AMPs. The main difference between BT139 and BT136 is the current rate and BT139 TRIACS are used for high power application.
Pin Configuration-
Main Terminal 1 (Pin 1) Connected to Phase or neutral of AC mains
Main Terminal 2 (Pin 2) Connected to Phase or neutral of AC mains
Gate (Pin 3) Used to trigger the SCR.
